St. James Music & the Parish Choir

The St. James’ Parish Choir provides worship music at the 10:30 a.m. service each Sunday. The choir practices Wednesdays at 7 p.m. The Choir of St. James is composed of a loyal ensemble of volunteer parishioners. They exist to lead people in the worship of God and to enrich the cultural life of the community.

Their repertoire embraces our Anglican heritage while augmenting it with some of the finest aspects of music from other origins. The choir’s diligence for learning and preparing great music to its optimum generates excitement, beauty and inspiration in the traditional services of worship.

The Parish Choir sings year round at the Sunday morning service and also provides music for additional services and special events. We are occasionally assisted by members of the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra to supplement our music.
