Friends and Neighbors,

I am looking forward to getting out to Grace Point this Saturday for Grace Point Day. This camp and conference center is an important place for all ages in our diocese. I hope that you will see the information below about how you can give to support young people going to camp. If you can't make it on Saturday, I pray that you will be blessed to make it out to the beautiful and sacred grounds of Grace Point.

If you are on this side of town on Saturday, then stop by St. James between 10:00 and 2:00 to walk the labyrinth. You can sign-up to help out by clicking this link. The labyrinth is a wonderful way to experience a walking prayer in our beautiful sacred space. Of course, we will be worshiping together this Sunday. We do some walking prayer on Sunday as well. I like to think of the posture and action of coming forward to receive the Eucharist as a prayer. What do you think?

Your thoughts are a valuable part of the conversation as we explore community and life together. I do need your thoughts as we prepare to select new vestry members. Our vestry is our governing board that makes important decisions about our resources and how we use them for ministry. Contact me with anyone you think would be a good voice on the vestry.

As always, I encourage you to look at this newsletter for the many opportunities to serve, pray, and study together. Thank you for sharing your gifts for the ministry of this parish.

Peace,

Fr. John Mark
