New "Safeguarding" Link

NEW SAFEGUARDING LINK - Thanks to everyone who holds a key at St. James and has successfully registered and completed the four modules of “Safeguarding God’s Children” training required by our Diocese.Currently, due to the pandemic, both first-time certifications and renewals may be obtained   online. However, once we are comfortable gathering again, first time certifications must be   obtained through in-person training.  A NEW LINK at dioet.org/safe-church/ was introduced to register for the Safeguarding training. The NEW LINK is  much less confusing than the previous one. After you register, you will receive an email from Praesidium Academy  In 2-5 business days with the link to the online courses. If you do not see the email, please check your spam folder.  The exact titles of the required modules include: "Meet Sam," "It Happened to Me," "Abuse Prevention Refresher,"  and "Policies Episcopal Diocese of East Tennessee." If you have any difficulty signing in once you have your  credentials, please contact Caroline Wood, Missioner for Youth & Young Adults at the Diocese, cwood@dioet.org, 865-966-2110, ext. 119.
